1. Scale back on Carbs
You need not follow a strict low-carb diet. Reducing your carb intake is the first priority when it comes to losing your fats. Your diets should be under 50 grams of carbs per day and also you need to avoid Refined Carbs. You can replace refined carbs with unprocessed starchy carbs (healthy carb sources, such as whole grains, legumes or vegetables) and you will reduce belly fat and improve metabolic health. According to the study, people who consume whole grains were 20% less likely to have excess stomach fat than those who consumed food which is high in refined grains.
2. Add Apple Cider Vinegar to Your Diet
It has been found that adding apple cider vinegar has many impressive health benefits. It contains acetic acid, which can help in reducing abdominal fat. Apple cider vinegar can also lower blood sugar levels.
By just adding a tablespoon (15 ml) of apple cider vinegar every day can help you in losing half an inch from your waist.
You can take 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 ml) of apple cider vinegar every day. But keep in mind that you need to dilute it with water, as undiluted vinegar can erode the enamel of your teeth.
3. Eat a High-Protein Diet
High protein intake will keep you full for a longer time and thus it reduces hunger. Protein also increases your metabolic rate and helps you maintain your muscle mass during weight loss. Protein is a very essential nutrient for weight control.
Therefore, make sure that you include a good protein source at every meal, such as eggs, meat, beans, dairy, fish, or whey protein. This will definitely shed some extra pounds around your waist.
4. Don’t Eat a Lot of Sugary Foods
Excessive sugar consumption is a major cause of weight gain and belly fat. Sugar contains fructose which will cause obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, fatty liver disease, etc. Any sugar product like processed foods and even healthier sugars, such as honey should be avoided in large amounts.
5. Eat Plenty of Soluble Fiber
According to studies, soluble fiber can easily absorb water and forms a gel which will help slow down food as it passes through your digestive system and also reduces calorie absorption. Therefore, it will help you lose weight by keeping you full and reducing calorie absorption. Good sources of soluble fiber are flaxseed, avocados, Brussels sprouts, legumes and blackberries.
